The person who has aggro stays in the Fenrus room. Tag him and run back to the main chamber, where you killed Fenrus. Not everyone wants all the drama of being in a group, arguing over loot, people not paying attention and aggroing adds, quite a pain if you ask me.Ĭomment by AllakhazamThere is an easy way to kill Arugal. In some ways, it would be nice if instances spawned based on group size (similar to CoH), to give solo classes like Hunters a chance to do them. And, of course, by then there is almost no point to do it, unless you're farming stuff for guildies or your alts. I agree that you need +10 levels to take on an instance solo. Over 3 hours and I still had quite a ways to go. I guess, eventually, I could have got through the entire instance this way, but the amount of time involved became not worth it. Note that in ANY place I could, I would naturally pull them one at a time, and that went quite fast.Īt 30, I can safely tackle 2 level 24 Elites, 3 is troublesome especially if they summon. This way, we were able to wean down larger groups one mob at a time, painfully slow though. Soon as pet was about to die, I'd FD, let the mobs go back to sleep, wake up, revive my pet, feed him and tackle the next mob. my pet would of course die since there were usually 3-4 mobs beating on him, but not before we took down that ONE. One trick I used over and over again, was to pick a mob in a group, send my pet to it, and concentrate on that one mob with my ranged attacks. (Mage, Warlock, Warrior, Priest.)Ĭomment by ThottbotAs a 30 Hunter, spec'd mostly in Beastmastery, I could not solo this instance. Of course, you can also just send in the puller.Īll in all this is a challenge. You can clear the room in this way so that when you pull the named you only get 2 adds. Then send the eye all the way to the right (upon entering) and grab the attention of the Knight's in the back (the side opposite of the named mob). (This works in general.) In the Knight's room, have the tank grab the ghost in the hallway. As a result, you can pull fewer mobs and sometimes even singles from clusters of mobs. The eye can get aggro, but the mobs ignore it unless it gets too close. Have a warlock cast Eye of Kelrog and have a priest cast the spell-shield on it. The tricky pull spot is the Knight's room (up the stairs past the Baron's room). This can complicate pulling, so go back and kill this. For example, when you kill the Baron, a wearwolf spawns in the room adjacent to the courtyard and adjacent to the Baron's room. If you kill a named, sometimes a new wolf-man spawns in a place that you may have cleared. Have the tank stand in the hallway to attract the mobs that spawn afterwards. This most likely will be patched, however.Ī few other tips. Everytime he teleports, he'll erase any dots on him, but he will not reset his health (as of 4/3/06). This new person can then go to Fenrus' room and repeat as before. This allows the other members of the group to smack Arugal around until his aggro changes to someone else. What will happen is Arugal charges towards the Fenrus room and then whacks one or two times (at most, sometimes none at all) and teleports back to his main room.
